This is one of the many unfinished bowls by the late woodturner Bill Luce. The bowls have been distributed to about 40 artists around the world. The finished pieces will be displayed and auctioned at the annual symposium of the Association of American Woodturners May 23-26, 2023. The symposium will be held at the Oregon Convention Center. The exhibit will be held in Hall D and is open to everyone.

This piece is oak and measures about 4.5” X 3.5”. It was turned “green” and distorted somewhat in the drying process. I finished it by piercing a “path”, following the grain lines.
